I Dozed at Work Today...

Because I slept at 1am.
Because I woke at 5am in the middle of a tragic nightmare.
Because I went back to bed and woke again at 530am.
Because I woke at 550am and decided not to go back again...

Standing on the top of my office building, i hold a few machine guns and fire across to the other building, deliberately aiming at the occupants on the other side. After popping a few of them, and rather accurately at that, i wake at 5am. Checking the time on my watch and realising it's ONLY 5am, i close my eyes and hope the story doesn't continue...

To my dismay i continue popping people from the other building, then i realise there are four of them setting up their sophisticated rifles... sniping rifles! Upon sighting them four, I surrendered, and woke, this time it was 530am. Going back to sleep, the story continued...

My guys and I were rounded up and one of them cried about his innocence and that he was acting on my directions.

I woke at 550am and didn't go back to sleep.

One Sapporo on the road,
One Sapporo through the door,
Four more Sapporo to go...

Take me on, i'm not afraid!
You puny whatever-you-want-to-call-yourselves...
You may find fault with my substance,
but you'll never find fault with my morals, ethics, attitude and work integrity!

Moral courage; do you have what it takes?

What Is Rain To You?

Multiple Choice Question:
1. Water droplets abiding the laws of gravity.
2. The release of accumulated condensation from the sky.
3. Some one, or some thing, unleashing his/her/its anger.
4. A spoiler to the Fuji Xerox Singapore Open Water 5km Swim.
5. The excuse to sleep in and cuddle with your loved one.
6. A reason to skip that weekend run/swim/exercise.
7. None of the above.
8. All of the above.

I think you can guess what rain is to me today...

After Action Review

After an event or activity it is a good practise to conduct an After Action Review, or AAR. The conduct of an AAR will allow you to look back and assess what went wrong or right such that you can improve on the next conduct of a similar activity, or use the lessons in processes for other aspects in your life.

What's the point of this?

After countless hours of work done, effort exerted, stress endured and discourse among peers brewed (through events and feelings beyond my control), i decided to conduct an AAR on my life over the past three months. Imagine 19-20 waking hours, 2 hours of meals and toilet-time (interspersed ever so often with work-related sms and calls) and average of 4-6 hours of sleep...

"Boss... i'll be looking for you tomorrow to request a down-time to re-group and re-focus"

Standby for the AAR of tomorrow's discussion.
